3in1 were engaged by World Square to be the logistics team behind the Time Out Hop Up Bar Activation in World Square held annually for 5 years running.
This popular pop up bar was held in the Sydney Craft Beer Week and became the Headquarters Hub of the Sydney Craft Beer Week.
From the inception of this activation we were engaged to help develop a pop-up activation promoting local Sydney breweries and their craft beer in World Square for their partner Time Out.
- Provide consultancy on all aspects of the event set-up OH&S, liquor license and risk assessment requirements.
- Provide theming and décor concepts reflective of the Time Out brand.
- Source a full working bar set-up complete with functioning bar taps.
Beer promoters and media
In the city renown for its pop-up bar culture, World Square right in the heart of the city, was the perfect location for the Time Out ‘Hop-Up Bar’. Over the 5 years running, the Beer Pop up became the place to be annually at the Sydney Craft Beer Week.
THEMING & DÉCOR
A large marquee with clear sides, amber lighting, astro turf and a white picket fence were used to define the space. Long timber benches and wine barrels with brightly coloured retro style stools were positioned within the area. To add depth and greenery to the pop up, gorgeous plant hedging were used to create that beer garden feel.
Stage and sound equipment was set up for the entertainers to plug in to. The bar itself had its very own marquee with full bar facilities.
ENSURING THE BEER FLOWS
A customised bar with eight beer taps ensured ice-cold boutique style beer was available. Patrons had the opportunity to purchase a sample paddle and go back for their favourite taste. Craft beers from different regions were featured on different days. Time Out also brought Jameson on board to create the Boilermaker drink.
To compliment the hand picked beers, World Square restaurants such as Guzman y Gomez and Grill’d served delicious food to match the frothy brews.
To continue the ‘local’ theme, local musicians were invited to play an acoustic set. DJ, large games and Little Creatures ‘Live’ stage performance show entertained the beer lovers crowd throughout the activations.
